Today is a day that is easy to just sweep under the rug. I pray that you that hear these words will allow them to sink in and apply them to where we are today.

     Luke 4:16-30 In this passage it is talking about Nazareth, where Jesus was brought up. But today I’m applying Nazareth in a since to the USA. I love to read Jesus words in verse 18. ” The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to reach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised”. What beauty if found within those words. I would like for you to read and then reread focusing on the different phrases that Christ was called to do. We could spend several days breaking down each of those but i really want you to take the time and see how they can be utilized within your own life as well as lifting of Jesus for all that he was willing to do as well as did.

    Today you may miss this, or you may say this isn’t really that important but i want focus on the verses 28-29 ” and all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, and rose up , and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.” 

    Where am i going with those verses, well its simple and to the point. Over and over in today’s culture are people so quick to hear the words and then be filled with wrath and went to get rid of Jesus. I mean seriously look at all the places where we have taken God out of. It has become sickening if you ask me but even worse is that we don’t make a stand for it. We allow the world to run over Jesus just as they did when the crucified him. And we are like the disciples we all scatter. Well I’m done running away are you?

    What makes me even more excited about this message is not the fact that maybe your eyes will be open that the world is attempting to walk over Jesus and were allowing it but i want you to be able to see the ATTITUDE of Jesus. What we will be seeing in the next several lessons but in reality in all the messages is the attitude of Christ. We see it because we know what he went through and he knew what was coming as well. But he continual stood his ground and preached the message from God. We need that in today’s pastors, today’s Leaders, and Christians. From the oldest Christians down to the youngest. We need to understand that Christ has been through what we have, so therefore he can relate to us and give us encouragement, and we need to remember where we are going ( Heaven). We are going to paradise and will receive a whole new body. So why not use this one to the fullest extent.

     The fact is that if we make a stand for Christ often times people may be filled with wrath and ask you to leave. But there are going to be many times where they ask you to stay and want to know more about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    Christians there is no white flag telling us to surrender the teachings of Christ but rather a bugle sounding for us to take arms with Christ and spread the word of God to all nations. Matthew 28:18-20.  Just as the last 3 messages i said there’s power in temptation well brothers and sisters that is power in suffering too.
